Het Havenbedrijf Rotterdam is sinds kort verantwoordelijk voor het beheer van de openbare ruimte in de haven van Dordrecht. Hiermee neemt het zowel het natte als het droge beheer in de haven op zich.

Acht jaar geleden had het havenbedrijf al een samenwerkingsovereenkomst gesloten, waarbij het de ontwikkeling, exploitatie en het beheer van het zeehavengebied overnam van de gemeente Dordrecht.

Nu het Havenbedrijf Rotterdam ook het beheer van de openbare ruimte in de Dordtse haven op zich neemt, is het zowel verantwoordelijk voor de natte en droge buitenruimte. Dat maakt het werk efficiënter, stelt het havenbedrijf, omdat ‘nat’ en ‘droog’ met elkaar te maken hebben. Ook ontstaan er synergievoordelen.

Het verwacht dat de nieuwe situatie zal leiden tot ‘een daadkrachtiger en flexibeler beheer en meer tevreden ondernemers in het zeehavengebied’.

As of recently, the Port of Rotterdam Authority is responsible for the maintenance of the public space in the port of Dordrecht. In doing so, it takes on the management of both the wet and the dry infrastructure in the port.

Eight years ago, the Port Authority had already concluded a cooperation agreement in which it took over the development, exploitation and management of the seaport area from the municipality of Dordrecht.
