Het DeltaPORT Donatiefonds steunt verschillende goede doelen met een geldbedrag. Daarnaast geven medewerkers van het Havenbedrijf Rotterdam hun kerstcadeau aan goede doelen.

Via het DeltaPORT Donatiefonds steunt het havenbedrijfsleven goede doelen. Deze keer gaat er een geldbedrag naar de Hoekse Tranentrekkers, een groot muziekfestijn dat eind augustus in Hoek van Holland plaatsvindt. Ook geeft het fonds een bijdrage aan het Maritiem Museum Rotterdam voor de tentoonstelling ‘De toekomst van de zee’, waarin de klimaatcrisis en de effecten van de mens hierop worden behandeld. Verder steunt het DeltaPORT Donatiefonds de stichting Humanitas voor het organiseren van een vakantieweek voor Rotterdamse gezinnen die dat zelf niet kunnen betalen. 

Keuze voor goede doelen

Ook medewerkers van het Havenbedrijf Rotterdam staan goede doelen bij. Vorig jaar kregen zij een kerstcadeau met keuzemogelijkheden. Een ervan was om de waarde ervan te doneren aan een goed doel. Veel medewerkers kozen voor deze optie. Hierdoor krijgen Clear Rivers, Ronald McDonald Sophia en ‘Make a wish’ een cheque van respectievelijk 2.125,-, 2.400,- en 2.550,-.

Port supports good causes

The DeltaPORT Donatie Fonds supports several charities with an amount of money. In addition, employees of the Port of Rotterdam Authority give their Christmas gift to good causes.

Through the DeltaPORT Donatiefonds, the port business community supports good causes. This time, a sum of money will go to the Hoekse Tranentrekkers, a large music festival taking place in Hoek van Holland at the end of August. The fund is also giving a contribution to the Rotterdam Maritime Museum for the exhibition ‘The Future of the Sea’, which addresses the climate crisis and man’s effects on it. Furthermore, the DeltaPORT Donation Fund supports the Humanitas Foundation to organise a holiday week for Rotterdam families who cannot afford it themselves.

Charities

Employees of the Port of Rotterdam Authority also assist charities. Last year, they received a Christmas gift with choices. One of them was to donate its value to a charity. Many employees chose this option. As a result, Clear Rivers, Ronald McDonald Sophia and ‘Make a wish’ received a cheque of 2,125, 2,400 and 2,550 respectively.
