Nobian schroeft de productie van zout sterk terug. Het bedrijf stelt minder vraag vanuit de chemie te krijgen naar deze grondstof.

Nobian beschikt over productielocaties in Rotterdam, Delfzijl en Hengelo. Het laat in dagblad Tubantia weten dat het de productie van zout ‘met tientallen procenten’ vermindert. Nobian zelf zegt ook hinder te ondervinden van de hoge energieprijzen. In Hengelo gebruikt het stoom van afvalverwerker Twence met een variabele component. Ook heeft Nobian een eigen energiecentrale die op gas draait.

Nobian has production sites in Rotterdam, Delfzijl and Hengelo. It informs newspaper Tubantia that it is reducing the production of salt ‘by tens of percent’. This is because there is less demand for salt from the chemical industry. Salt is an important raw material for chemical producers, but because of increased energy prices, they are reducing their production.
