Ook werd het project veilig opgeleverd. De technologie van Angara werd eerder bekeken door DNV GL en kreeg een Technology Readiness Level van 8+.

Netwerk ontwikkelen

Dit alles is voor Mourik reden een memorandum of understanding (MOU) te tekenen met het in Amsterdam gevestigde Angara. “De samenwerking met Mourik is strategisch voor Angara, omdat we ons op korte termijn willen richten op decarbonisatiemogelijkheden in Europa. We willen een netwerk ontwikkelen van sterke, toonaangevende implementatiepartners en we verwachten Mourik te certificeren als een volledig geaccrediteerde gebruiker van onze technologie”, aldus Petra Koselka, ceo van Angara.

Mourik Industry has signed a memorandum of understanding with Angara. Angara’s technology helps promote decarbonisation in the process industry.

Recently, the two parties conducted a trial at a refinery in Europe using Angara’s technology. This uses artificial intelligence to dynamically break down and remove fouling in heat exchangers. This benefits heat transfer optimisation, resulting in reduced CO2 emissions.

The results of the trial were ‘very encouraging’, says Mourik. Over ten heat exchangers, the calculated annual savings amounted to 10 kilotonnes of CO2 and three million euros. The project was also delivered safely. Angara’s technology was previously reviewed by DNV GL and given a Technology Readiness Level of 8+.

Network

All this prompted Mourik to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Amsterdam based Angara. “The collaboration with Mourik is strategic for Angara as we want to focus on decarbonisation opportunities in Europe in the short term. We want to develop a network of strong, leading implementation partners and we expect to certify Mourik as a fully accredited user of our technology,” said Petra Koselka, ceo of Angara.
