Het Havenbedrijf Moerdijk heeft zich aangesloten als participant bij FERM. Daarmee heeft het toegang tot de dienstverlening van FERM en de dreigingsinformatie van het Nationaal Cyber Security Centrum.

Directeur Evelien Bras van FERM noemt het toetreden van het Havenbedrijf Moerdijk ‘een heel mooie ontwikkeling’. “Cyberweerbaarheid gaat vaak verder dan de grenzen van één organisatie of één haven. Ook al ligt de verantwoordelijk bij organisaties zelf om de basis op orde te hebben; samenwerking is dé manier om dat effectief te doen. Door deze samenwerking maken we de groep waarin en waarmee informatie gedeeld kan worden groter en zijn we daarmee nog effectiever. Vanwege onze achtergrond is FERM een heel logische partner voor Port of Moerdijk.”

“We staan voor excellente veiligheid en werken aan een perfect functionerend integraal veiligheidssysteem en aan een veiligheidsschil die voor zeker 99 procent safety en security biedt”, zegt Gijs-Jan Schüssler, havenmeester en programmamanager veiligheid bij het Havenbedrijf Moerdijk. “Naast fysieke en sociale veiligheid is cybersecurity voor ons momenteel een topprioriteit. Met FERM voegen we daadkracht en kennis toe over dit onderwerp en kunnen wij dat weer verder delen in het netwerk van onze ondernemers op het haven- en industrieterrein.”

Digitale weerbaarheid

FERM Rotterdam is een aantal jaren geleden opgericht om de digitale weerbaarheid van bedrijven in de Rotterdamse haven te verbeteren. Het doel is de samenwerking op het gebied van cybersecurity te stimuleren en het bewustzijn van cyberrisico’s te verhogen.

Moerdijk Port Authority participant in FERM

The Moerdijk Port Authority has joined FERM as a participant. This gives it access to the services of FERM and the threat information of the National Cyber Security Centre.

Director Evelien Bras of FERM calls the accession of the Moerdijk Port Authority ‘a very nice development’. “Cyber defence often goes beyond the borders of one organisation or one port. ‘Top priority’

“We stand for excellent safety and are working on a perfectly functioning integral safety system and on a safety shell that offers at least 99 percent safety and security,” says Gijs-Jan Schüssler, harbour master and programme manager for safety at the Port of Moerdijk. “In addition to physical and social security, cybersecurity is currently a top priority for us. With FERM we add vigour and knowledge on this subject and we can share this further in the network of our entrepreneurs in the port and industrial area.”

FERM Rotterdam was founded a number of years ago to improve the digital resilience of companies in the port of Rotterdam. The aim is to stimulate cooperation in the field of cyber security and to raise awareness of cyber risks.
