Tekorten voorkomen

De VEMW pleit ervoor om kolencentrales in Nederland weer volledig in te zetten. Ook raadt de brancheorganisatie voor grote energieverbruikers aan om opnieuw na te denken over het stopzetten van de gaswinning in Groningen.

Boycot

Nederlandse raffinaderijen draaien voor een belangrijk deel op Russische olie. Mocht er een boycot op Russische olie worden ingesteld, dan zullen de gevolgen groot zijn, waarschuwt Erik Klooster, directeur van de VNPI, in dezelfde krant. “Wij verwachten dat er delen van het raffinagecomplex in Nederland, en zeker in Europa, stil komen te vallen op het moment dat de toevoer van Russische olie wordt stopgezet. Maar als de sancties er komen, zullen wij er met volle overtuiging aan meewerken.”
